Our Story
1892 East was founded in 2010 as a place for our community to gather and enjoy excellent, fresh food from a seasonal menu. We love Southern foodways and sought to bring our own interpretation to classic southern dishes like the fried green tomatoes, shrimp & grits and grilled trout we all grew up with alongside foods from around the world flavored with Southern inspiration. We also wanted to satisfy the tastes of patrons with dietary restrictions or those looking for a vegetarian-friendly menu.
Chef Steve and our team have built a space where food and service is celebrated. His commitment to creative presentation of southern-inspired and vegetarian-friendly meals pairs perfectly with the thoughtful service of our staff and your chosen dining companions.
